Rolling Stones – Hackney Diamonds

£34.99

Hackney Diamonds marks the Rolling Stones 24th UK and 26th US studio album, launched on 20 October 2023, under Polydor. This release is their first collection of original tracks since 2005’s A Bigger Bang and notably their initial album following drummer Charlie Watts’ passing in 2021, who had contributed to some recordings in 2019. Produced by Andrew Watt, the album boasts guest appearances by Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman.

Receiving widespread acclaim, Hackney Diamonds is hailed by some critics as the band’s most potent album in years. Its promotion involved singles like “Angry,” “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” and “Mess It Up,” complemented by extensive marketing strategies such as global fashion retail pop-ups and collaborations with various sports teams. Dominating charts in 19 countries including the UK, Australia, and Germany, it claimed the top spot in the UK, achieving Gold status within four weeks by selling over 100,000 units and amassing 72,200 certified chart units in its debut week.
