  • Massive Attack v Mad Professor – Part II (Mezzanine Remix)

    £28.99

Inspired by Mad Professor‘s iconic No Protection, a dub version of Massive Attack‘s Protection, this echo chamber maestro transforms six tracks from the atmospheric gothic dub of Mezzanine. Including reinterpretations of the rare Wire and Superpredators (which was a cover of Siouxie and the Banshee’s Metal Postcard), the result is a smoky, nostalgic journey for those who grew up with Mezzanine in the late ’90s.

This reinterpretation maintains the original’s gothic essence but with a possibly darker mood than No Protection. Tracks like Angel (Angel Dust) and Teardrop (Mazaruni Dub One) maintain their haunting allure, while Risingson (Setting Sun Dub Two) and Group Four (Security Forces Dub) evoke a sense of pre-millennial tension. For those who wondered about a dub version of Mezzanine, the wait is over.
