Thom Yorke – Anima, released in June 2019 via XL Recordings, marked the third studio album of the Radiohead lead singer, produced in collaboration with Nigel Godrich. The album, a blend of electronic music crafted from live performances and studio sessions, delves into themes of anxiety and dystopia.

Accompanied by a short film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, released on Netflix and in select IMAX theatres, as well as a music video for “Last I Heard (…He Was Circling the Drain), Yorke supported the album with an international tour, though some dates were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reaching number one on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart, Anima garnered positive reviews and earned nominations at the 2020 Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package. The accompanying Anima film also received critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination for Best Music Film. Following the album’s success, the Not the News Rmx EP was released, featuring an extended version of Not the News along with remixes.
